A repeat client for Choate, the Kennesaw State University Sports and Recreation Park provides club and intramural sports teams with a first-class practice facility, a much needed addition to the school’s exploding sports program. Features include the grading of 26,000 cy of dirt, extensive landscaping and irrigation, and stormwater drainage. The fields are comprised of two synthetic turf fields and one Bermuda practice field. Also includes field lighting, scoreboards, and fencing, 8,164 seats, and the resurfacing of the existing parking lot.
Home to both KSU’s women’s soccer team and the Atlanta Beat Women’s Professional Soccer team, KSU’s Phase 2 soccer stadium complex represents the only stadium of this size in the world designated specifically for women’s soccer. For more information, click here.
While the first two phases were specifically built for Club Sports and Varsity Athletics, Phase 3 benefits the overall student body with facilities that are utilized for Intramural events, personal fitness, and general recreation. Amenities for Phase Three include five additional athletic fields with sports lighting, multi-purpose sports facility, one-mile jogging trail, sand volleyball courts, and two picnic pavilions.
