Steeped in tradition, Holy Trinity Classical Christian School expands their campus with an arts and athletic facility. The single-story building better positions the school to accommodate its rapidly growing student body, which has more than tripled since its opening in 2012. Offering students, faculty, and staff a full-size gymnasium with performing arts stage and retractable bleachers, classrooms, lobby with concessions stand, locker rooms, and more, Hathaway Hall provides much-needed space for the school’s expansive athletic program, as well as their theatre and fine arts program.

Accomplishing Client Goals During Occupied Construction

First and foremost, the focus for the team was the safety, efficiency, and benefits this institutional construction project offers students, faculty, and parents. The project scope included full sitework, relocation of the playground, additional parking, and a new access road for better traffic flow. The building construction is largely CMU throughout, with the exterior finishes combining brick, hardy siding, and large cast-stone accents.

Due to the site’s proximity to surrounding neighbors, who, in some cases, were directly adjacent to the school’s campus, Choate’s project team took great care to set up a safe and clean jobsite while also providing the school’s administration staff with regular updates about ongoing or future construction activities.
