Diocese of Nashville, Choate Celebrate Ribbon Cutting of Unity Hall

May 7, 2024

Choate Construction Company had the honor of celebrating the ribbon cutting of Unity Hall, a 23,000-SF community and fellowship center located on the Diocese of Nashville campus. As part of the Sagrado Corazón Church, this interior renovation and property expansion will better serve the organization’s growing population. Choate Construction partnered with Centric Architecture, Commonwealth Development Group, and the Diocese on the project.

“Our team is honored to work alongside the Diocese and our talented partners to bring this much-needed space to the Sagrado congregation and greater Nashville community,” said Lacie Simonton, Director of Business Development for Choate’s Nashville division. “The light, compassion, support, and camaraderie this community possesses deserve a space to be amplified and continue growing.”

Unity Hall provides a modernized space for the congregation to gather, break bread, and share in fellowship with one another. In addition to the gathering space, this project provides cooking and food preparation facilities, including outdoor grilling stations, for community events. Initially, the building’s design was targeting a capacity of around 750, but through early involvement in the design process and value-engineering made possible by Choate’s Virtual Design + Construction team, the project team and partners were able to create space for 1,000 people.

The Unity Hall team is excited to celebrate the official grand opening of the facility later this Spring.
