YourTown Health is a federally funded organization, having served Metro Atlanta communities for more than 35 years. Formerly known as Palmetto Health Council, the nonprofit provides high-quality medical care and treatment to patients in Meriwether, Pike, Lamar, Carroll, Coweta, and South Fulton counties. The strategic location of this essential “satellite” medical facility  supplies Atlanta’s outskirts with greater access to much-needed medical resources. Standing three stories tall, the medical office building offers general family practice, behavioral and mental health treatment, OB/GYN care, and dental services.

Sustainable Medical Office Construction

This medical office utilizes a Metro-deck precast system. A concrete framing system that combines both floor and roof materials into one prefabricated piece, this method offers flexibility, stability, and speed in construction.

The project is LEED Gold certified and features many sustainable elements to further the mission of improving performances across important metrics, including energy savings, water efficiency, CO2 emissions, and more.

Forty-seven geothermal wells are installed to an average depth of 350 feet, porous paving is used to promote in-ground storm water detention, and cisterns provide irrigation water. Additional unique components to this building include sunshades, light shelves, numerous green roofs, and solar panels.
