The project is LEED Gold certified and features many sustainable elements to further the mission of improving performances across important metrics, including energy savings, water efficiency, CO2 emissions, and more.
Forty-seven geothermal wells are installed to an average depth of 350 feet, porous paving is used to promote in-ground storm water detention, and cisterns provide irrigation water. Additional unique components to this building include sunshades, light shelves, numerous green roofs, and solar panels.
Patient rooms and offices are bathed in high levels of natural light, complete with energy saving equipment, and water-efficient plumbing fixtures.
