P1157/P1188 Child Development Centers
MCB Camp Lejeune adds to its existing supporting infrastructure with two new child development centers. The concrete masonry unit buildings are supported by pile foundations, structural steel framing, and reinforced masonry walls. Interior amenities include classrooms, kitchen and laundry areas, and administrative areas. a covered entrance portico, new recreation areas, and standing seam metal roofs.

A Safe Space to Learn and Grow
The interior is finished with a combination of vinyl/quarry tile, carpet, painted concrete masonry unit walls, acoustical tile, gypsum board, and suspended ceilings. Built-in equipment includes miscellaneous playground equipment and a fire pump. Electrical systems include fire alarms, energy saving electronic monitoring and control system (EMCS), information systems, and mass notification.
Supporting facilities work includes standard site and building utility connections. In addition to full site development, the project includes Anti-Terrorism (AT) features and complies with AT regulations.
