Founded by longtime friends and home brewers, Pontoon Brewing opens the doors to their own brewery in Sandy Springs, GA. The first microbrewery in Sandy Springs, Pontoon Brewing features a large taproom and décor inspired by a dockside lifestyle, breathing new life into an old business park. Located within what was a pool service management company, the interior is built out to accommodate the brewery and tasting room for customers to enjoy. Brewery construction requires a specialized skill set as the space must fit highly specialized equipment. It’s a special process that is a combination and balance between successful brewery engineering and industrial design. Selective spaces are demolished to allow for the updated layout. The existing restrooms are modified and receive updated finishes. Because breweries have high plumbing and mechanical demands, the MEP system is updated to accommodate the brewery.
