Following the departure of the former K-Mart anchor tenant, Bowman Place reimagines an aging shopping center to meet the evolving needs of one of the region's fastest-growing communities. In a market constrained by limited commercial development opportunities, the redevelopment transforms the former retail footprint into a six-parcel retail and restaurant destination anchored by Dick's Sporting Goods and Nordstrom Rack, strengthening Mount Pleasant's retail landscape.

Extensive exterior and interior renovations transform the existing structure into a modern retail destination. Existing storefronts, colonnades, canopies, and roofing are replaced with new masonry, EIFS, and roofing systems, while new foundations and structural steel framing support the reconfigured tenant spaces. Interior demolition makes way for updated drywall, flooring, and finishes that create flexible retail environments designed to accommodate a variety of tenants.

Site improvements extend the transformation beyond the building itself, creating a more accessible and inviting destination for shoppers. New entry signage, upgraded parking, refreshed landscaping, and reconstructed sidewalks improve circulation throughout the property, while selective demolition enhances access to the development and supports its long-term functionality.
