In a multi-phase delivery, Choate Construction brings three speculative distribution facilities for a repeat client to life at Beacon Commerce Park. These tilt-up industrial buildings feature soaring glass storefronts with angular structural columns, 50 loading docks, and 36’ ceilings, with additional space and flexibility for future occupants.
In addition to ADA-compliant sidewalks and ramps, Choate completes the 10’-wide walking and biking path connecting the local community. This is the first greenway project for the municipality.
Kicking off the project, the team set a record pace moving more than 250,000 cubic yards of dirt in less than 40 calendar days. To optimize the soil moved, trade partners used the quality material from the site’s retention ponds to create and establish the balance of each building’s concrete pad foundation. Leveling plates ensure the deep fill that is required in the sitework package provides a stable foundation for these large industrial facilities.
More than 40 acres of landscaping and installation of irrigation systems throughout the property promote an efficient and healthy site, completing the exterior portion of this distribution project.
