Choate Construction partners with Fortius Capital Partners, Stonemont Financial Group, and Triad Design Group, to deliver three speculative warehouses forming the Lakeshore Corporate Park. The 55-acre property offers easy access to the I-85 Exit 63 interchange, and with just a short drive to Charlotte and Greensboro, tenants of these industrial facilities can enjoy premium routes to facilitate their distribution operations across the Southeast. To help mitigate material escalations and maintain the project schedule, the Choate team works closely alongside industry partners and relies on thorough preconstruction efforts to securing roofing and steel materials early in the project process.

A Surprise Encounter

Amidst construction of this industrial project, the Choate team identified an osprey nest, a federally protected bird species. In an effort to preserve the nest and avoid potentially harmful disruption, the team maintained the existing light tower until the bird vacated after roughly three months, at which point construction in the designated area resumed.

In addition to the wildlife considerations, the project team persevered through persistent rainy conditions to keep the project moving on schedule.
