As the designs changed throughout the project to better fit the space and align with the expectations of the European parent company, the team maintained consistent communication with the architects and ownership to achieve the specific detail needed for each illusion’s functionality. With materials required for the illusion displays coming from Croatia, the Choate team created an intricate logistics schedule that allowed various construction and setup elements to occur in tandem without interruption to the project timeline.
This flexible approach combined with the proactive involvement in the planning phases allowed the Choate team to coordinate adjusted ceiling heights and HVAC plans quickly and efficiently, in addition to releasing long-lead items like lighting fixtures earlier which lessened the install time by more than three weeks.
Located on the second floor of an occupied building between four retailers and residential apartment units, this retail construction project required extensive coordination between all stakeholders and trade partners for successful, on-time delivery. The project team worked closely with the building’s landlord to design the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems to ensure everything was coordinated within the existing property management plan.
