Located on a 77-acre tract, this state-of-the-art Customer Fulfillment Center for office supply retailer Staples consolidates several smaller regional facilities into a central distribution center. The project is completed in an aggressive 10-month schedule. Featuring a 322,000-SF structural steel, fully-racked mezzanine, automated guided vehicles (AGVs) can quickly retrieve and process orders in the warehouse. The mezzanine structure is designed to limit vibration, deflection, and slab cracking, allowing AGVs to operate in an ideal environment. The unique structural design of the mezzanine allows for remarkable floor flatness and levelness – maximizing efficiency and optimizing resources.
