Greenheck, Choate Join Forces on 1st Phase of Knoxville Campus

July 10, 2024

Greenheck Fan Corporation has released the first phase of its Knoxville campus development to Choate Construction Company as part of a multi-year effort that will bring 440 manufacturing jobs to the area. With more than 24 projects over the course of 11 years successfully delivered through this lock-step partnership, Choate is honored to support Greenheck in its continued growth into Tennessee.

“Knoxville’s innovative spirit aligns with the values our founders, the Greenheck brothers, established more than 75 years ago. Our investment in this new campus supports our unwavering commitment to our customers, our team members and the communities in which we are blessed to be part of,” said Rich Totzke, CEO of Greenheck Group. “We couldn’t be more excited to become part of the vibrant Knoxville community, which provides not only strategic proximity to our customers, but also talented people, outstanding community partners and a welcoming culture.”

“This is one of the largest economic development projects in Knox County’s history in terms of both land and capital investment. The Greenheck team has been amazing to work with from the beginning, and I believe the positive relationship we have built is indicative of how they treat everyone they encounter,” said Doug Lawyer, Knoxville Chamber Vice President of Economic Development. “We are fortunate that we have landed a company that values mutually beneficial partnerships and has every intent of giving back to its community by creating transformational new opportunities.”

Each facility for the leading supplier of air movement, control, and conditioning equipment is uniquely designed for the product being manufactured onsite. Through Choate’s long-standing relationship and familiarity with Greenheck’s operations, proactive collaboration in the design phase allows the team to maximize space and optimize efficiencies for this customized manufacturing facility.

“Our team is excited to continue our long-standing partnership with Greenheck and support their continued, strategic growth,” said Matt Brewer, President & CEO for Choate Construction. “As Tennessee continues to be recognized as one of the fastest-growing areas of the country, we’re honored to be a part of this project that will allow Greenheck to better serve their customers in the region.”

The history of Greenheck and Choate’s relationship and the resulting projects across the country provide a strong foundation for success in Knoxville, furthered by Choate’s knowledge of the Knoxville market and deep industrial experience. Of these 24 projects, all were delivered on time and with 0 hours of manufacturing time lost due to construction.
