Project Progress: GreyStone Power Fly-Over

Category

Date

GreyStone Power and Choate broke ground on July 11, 2019, joined by GreyStone Power leadership and staff, stakeholders, and local community partners. Now the project is at 50% completion and excitement is building around this much anticipated new headquarters campus.  GreyStone's last major expansion was in 1990, when the cooperative served around 50,000 members. Since then, the co-op’s membership has more than doubled, along with the operating revenue, and miles of additional lines. The new headquarters will provide a centralized location for its service area and will provide much-needed room to accommodate GreyStone’s daily operations.

The expansive campus, designed by Smallwood, will include GreyStone's corporate office, an engineering building, a vehicle maintenance shop, and a solar field. The new facility in Hiram is expected to be completed by December 2020.
