DP World partners with Choate Construction Company to bring a 125,000-SF industrial distribution facility to the South Carolina Gateway Logistics Park in Santee, SC. Completion of the project was celebrated on April 25 with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
As one of the state’s largest available rail-served industrial parks, South Carolina Gateway is situated within Orangeburg County’s Global Logistics Triangle at the four-way interchange of Highway 301 & I-95, The park offers 350 developable acres with the ability to accommodate a dozen world-class industrial facilities ranging in size from 15,000 sf to 1 million SF.
Among the honored guests in attendance, DP World Chairman & CEO Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem spoke on the logistics park and its role in benefitting both the community and broader region as a whole.

The tilt-up concrete and structural steel warehouse features 34 dock doors and levelers. This facility is the first of a multi-phase plan that will continue on the surrounding 23 acres along the I-95 corridor. In addition to the industrial building, the initial phase of the construction plan consists of the primary road and utility infrastructure for the park.
