Choate is thrilled to announce Sara O’Mara has been awarded one of Green Building & Design (gb&d)‘s Women in Sustainability Leadership Awards (WSLA) and their top annual accolade recognizing the most powerful women making a difference in the world through sustainability! gb&d, the magazine for today’s leading green professional with a mission to create a more sustainable world, created the awards to celebrate the achievements of women who are making lasting change and strives to identify, support, and give opportunities to future women in leadership. The goal of the WSLA awards is to great a global connection to some of the most powerful women at the forefront of sustainability. WSLA is considered to be one of the most prestigious awards in the world of architecture and the built environment and has been received by Hillary Clinton, Bea Perez (Coca-Cola), Angela Foster Rice (United Airlines), Arielle Bertman (Google), and Jeanne Gang (Studio Gang Architects).
Sara took an active role in the city of Charlotte to improve her community identifying energy-saving initiatives and cost effective processes to improve businesses and sustain growth in the Queen City.
