Hyundai Mobility Training Center Earns 2026 ABC of Georgia Award of Excellence - Institutional

The Hyundai Mobility Training Center of Georgia project has earned an Award of Excellence from Associated Builders and Contractors of Georgia in the Institutional category, marking the project’s second Excellence in Construction recognition this season.

The approximately 89,000-SF training center was designed and built to replicate real-world electric vehicle and lithium-ion battery manufacturing environments. High-bay training spaces and advanced labs support hands-on instruction in robotics, mechatronics, welding, and automated assembly.

Serving as the “front door” to Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America, the largest economic development project in Georgia history, the facility demanded an accelerated construction schedule and extensive coordination across a highly technical scope.

At peak production, more than 150 workers were on site each day, requiring close coordination among trades to keep work progressing safely, efficiently, and on schedule. The resulting facility gives Georgia’s workforce a purpose-built environment to develop the advanced manufacturing skills supporting Hyundai’s growing EV operations in the state.

The ABC of Georgia Excellence in Construction Awards recognize outstanding projects and the teams behind them based on quality, complexity, innovation, safety, and execution.
