Celebrating its 14th year of driving out cystic fibrosis, Choate Construction Company’s Cars & ‘Q for the Cause event and car show raised a record-breaking $674,560 in support of and in partnership with the Georgia Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF)! This achievement made possible through the support of Choate’s dedicated employee-owners and partners brings the lifetime total of funds raised through the show to an incredible $3.8 million.
Driven by extra fuel and fervor for a cystic fibrosis (CF) cure, the award-winning car show and party hosted 1,000+ attendees, 100+ stellar cars, and 100+ sponsors for a fun-filled day of philanthropy and community. Sunbelt Rentals was presented with the Warrior Award, a recognition honoring a sponsor who has demonstrated a steadfast dedication to the CFF through support of the show and its mission.
“We are so grateful to our sponsors, vendors, and friends for helping us bring home this win for the CF community,” shared Event Founder and Coordinator Emily Bridges. “Year after year our outstanding volunteers and partners at the CF Foundation themselves into this event to make it a success, and it’s amazing to see how their efforts truly change the lives of people living with CF. Thanks to them and our steadfast supporters, we are one step closer to finding a cure!”
This record-breaking year was made possible by the show’s robust list of sponsors, including Ameris Bank, The CBF Foundation, Crown Electric Inc., ProCom Consulting Inc., The William B. Orkin Foundation, Willis Towers Watson, and so many more. Their contributions have and will continue to help change the lives of so many families struggling with cystic fibrosis, as the funds raised through Cars & ‘Q go directly to support critical research for CF treatments and drug therapies.
Guests, car drivers, and sponsors all enjoyed live music by The Rogue Tones and a generous spread of BBQ from Jim ‘n Nicks; continuous pours from local vendors, including Painted Horse Winery and Vineyards, From the Earth Brewing, New Realm Brewing Co., STATS Brewpub, and Mutation Brewing, as well as silent auction items, a Home Depot Kids Zone, and friendly car competition.
“This show has grown tremendously over the last 14 years, and every employee-owner at Choate is so grateful for the support of our community in driving out CF,” said Brian Bollins, Vice President & Division Manager for Choate’s Atlanta office. “As a result of their efforts and the passion fun-raising that occurs at events like Cars & ‘Q across the country, we continue to see significant advances in the treatments and therapies available for people with CF.”
Next year’s show is already on the calendar! Save the date: October 19, 2024.
