Hexagon Agility Fuel Systems

Agility Fuel Systems, a leading provider of highly engineered, cost-effective natural gas fuel systems for heavy-duty commercial vehicles, partnered with Choate to construct a new facility designed to support its growing production needs.

The 204,000-SF built-to-suit facility houses testing, manufacturing, assembly, and office areas. Within the building, raw materials are transformed into fuel unit assemblies before being installed into fleet vehicles.

The facility’s shell is constructed with architectural load-bearing tilt walls, a structural steel roof frame, and a high-performance slab design. A cutting-edge paint facility is also housed within the building, supporting the multiple coatings required for various fuel assembly components.

Following completion of the original 204,000-SF facility, Hexagon Agility once again partnered with Choate for a 113,400-SF expansion designed to support the manufacturing of hydrogen fuel cell systems.

Housed onboard commercial vehicles such as semis, buses, and delivery vehicles, these systems convert diesel-powered fleets to hydrogen energy. The expansion also accommodates a customized robotic system installed by a third-party vendor.
