The Stitch
Adapting an old outlet mall, The Stitch is a modern, creative laboratory and office space. Exterior precast concrete walls are enhanced with plate steel frames to highlight windows and a quadwall skylight is added. The outdoor oasis features a community-raised garden and terraced lawn.

Reimagined from the Inside Out
Interior demolition makes way for a beautiful, light-filled lobby that links two wings of the existing structure, creating the perfect space to grab a cup of Joe in the full-service coffee shop or gather with colleagues and enjoy a catered meal in the kitchenette. Reclaimed wood is used throughout. Completing the interior space is a modern fitness center featuring Peloton Bikes and TRX equipment.

The façade was transformed into a beautiful, galvanized screen wall system, dark masonry, stone and wood accents. Two outdoor courtyards entice tenants to stroll through the community-raised garden, attend a fitness class, or relax in the terraced lawn.

The Art of Building Better
Stirrup Iron Creek provides a tranquil setting along the north side of The Stitch, offering tenants a connection to nature and local wildlife. When the pedestrian bridge fell into disrepair, Choate’s own site superintendent and skilled woodworker, brought it back to life. He restored the structure by repurposing the existing wood and rebuilding the bridge by hand. Working with the electrical team, he added lighting to showcase the craftsmanship and create a safe, welcoming path for tenants.
