Choate began working with repeat client, Sharonview Federal Credit Union team in 2005 and has maintained a strong relationship over the years which led to this current headquarters upfit project. Sharonview Federal Credit Union purchased an 180,000-SF office building in a beautiful waterfront suburban office park in Indian Land, SC. This space is transformed into the new location for their corporate headquarters.

Inspired by nature

SFCU’s corporate headquarters uses the beauty found outside to inspire the committed service found within. With custom water features, handsome wood accents, unique decorative pieces, the newly renovated space utilizes its close proximity to the adjacent lake with countless interior waterfront views and an updated exterior patio and landscaping area.

Inviting Gathering Spaces Inspire Collaboration

The completely refreshed main lobby, monumental staircase, and elevator lobby welcomes visitors to the new corporate headquarters with a state-of-the-art two-story monitor wall, unique millwork accents and a breathtaking waterfront view. The renovated space heavily focuses on employee engagement with versatile conference and collaboration rooms, functional training rooms, a refreshed cafeteria and dining area, large fitness center and relaxing recreation room. The corporate headquarters seamlessly integrates new technological advances with the natural beauty of the surrounding area while maintaining the health and wellness of its employees as it’s paramount focus.

Occupied Renovation

Renovating within an occupied space with two existing tenants presented opportunities for thoughtful logistics and schedule coordination. The project is split into two phases to better serve the relocation of specific groups from their existing corporate office to the new headquarters. Many of the existing hardwalls are reused; incorporation of unique materials and natural elements bring the space to life.
