Resurgens Plaza undergoes a million-dollar facelift that transforms the drab 14^th floor rooftop, to a thriving, greenspace community with panoramic views of the Atlanta skyline. Offering the utmost level of comfort to escape from the daily grind, the rooftop terrace addition delivers lush greenscapes, a green roof planting system with raised planters, and modern furnishings for employees to relax. The Choate and Perkins + Will team were challenged with bringing this unique outdoor project to life in an astonishing four-month timeframe that started during the dead of winter. Between the coordination of the structural steel, the tight urban environment, and bringing a green roof space to life during the middle of winter, this project required a general contractor ready to devise creative solutions to a variety of challenges in order to successfully deliver the project within the tight timeframe. Excellence in project management, close coordination with the design team, innovation, and strength in the field was critical to the success of the roof terrace addition.
