As part of a multi-phased redevelopment for Kiawah Island Golf Resort, Choate constructs four ocean-front cottages along a dune line of the world-famous Ocean Course Golf Course.
Each cottage is approximately 4,000-SF, featuring four bedrooms and 4 ½ bathrooms with individual climate control in each guest room. Reflecting the coastal beauty of the beachside resort, the interiors include decorative light fixtures, one-of-a-kind, hand-scraped wood floors, made to look like old-reclaimed wood, and natural-textured grass cloth wall coverings. Custom furniture vanities, casework, millwork, and exteriors all add to the charm of these luxury getaways.
Adorning the exterior of each cottage is a custom mahogany trim, decorative cedar siding, made to match the iconic Ocean Course Clubhouse, and cedar roofing. The balconies and porches are built with Ipe wood decking, an incredible dense and long-lasting wood that is naturally bug resistant, water resistant, and slip resistant.
