Sitting on a rolling 85-acre campus, Mill Springs provides a personal approach to education centered on each child's specific style of learning.
The two-story facility for the Lower and Middle School programs replaces crowded modular buildings. A glass storefront system within the two-story stairwell provides sweeping views of the added outdoor amphitheater with terrace seating, green space, and basketball court. Students enjoy their lunch from two catering areas complete with refrigerators, dishwashers, and preparation areas.
The building is comprised of structural steel framing and a concrete foundation with retaining walls. Cement siding, stone, and brick masonry with timber accents adorns the exterior of the facility. The existing road system is rerouted to the east side of campus to improve car pool lanes, while campus utilities are relocated to support the new structure and roadways.
Mill Springs Academy students and faculty left their mark on the facility, participating in a beam signing event and signing walls behind lockers.
