Mercer University Moye Pharmacy and Health Sciences Center

The facility includes two added stories within the main wings of the building, creating stacked floorplates with efficient, flexible layouts. The first floor includes ten simulation exam rooms, an ANTE cleanroom, and simulated laboratory with six vertical laminar flow workstations and a biological safety cabinet, as well as a student lounge and classrooms.

The second floor houses offices for faculty and staff. A separate building portion contains two large classrooms designed for adaptable instruction, collaboration, and evolving teaching formats. Students also benefit from study lounges, gathering areas, and technology-enabled environments that support learning beyond the classroom.

Supporting infrastructure includes a rooftop mechanical penthouse and a mechanical basement with exterior access, allowing major systems to operate efficiently while preserving valuable interior square footage. The building also features advanced lab technology and specialized instructional environments, including simulation-based training spaces that reflect modern pharmacy practice. Delivering a project of this complexity required close coordination of structure, building systems, campus logistics, and phased university operations.

Beyond the building itself, the project included an extensive hardscape package that enhances the surrounding campus environment. New walking paths and a dedicated walking track create opportunities for wellness, movement, and outdoor connection for students, faculty, and staff. These site improvements complement Mercer’s broader vision of creating an inviting graduate and professional campus.
