The coatings facility is supported by structural steel and insulated concrete tilt-wall panels, resting atop concrete foundations. The highly flammable, volatile nature of the products manufactured and stored within the facility require explosion-proof electrical systems, blast-resistant doors and explosion relief panels. In addition, foam/wet pipe fire protection systems provide protection from explosive forces.
Mankiewicz Coatings has been in operation in South Carolina for 15 years, predominantly serving automotive, aviation, medical and industrial clients such as Boeing and BMW Manufacturing. Today, Mankiewicz continues to manufacture high-quality solvent-based and water-dilutable coating systems while operating in markets across the globe.
An interior renovation provides Mankiewicz with much needed office space and specialized stations within the production facility in order to accommodate the companies latest manufacturing techniques as well as improve work-flow and efficiency.
The demolition of interior walls allowed for the project team to install new walls configured to make individual work rooms for the Mankiewicz administrative team. Additionally, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing assets are arranged for each office as well as updated ceilings and light fixtures.
