Located on one of Kiawah Islands’ five premium golf courses, Cougar Point Clubhouse offers guests and residents a tailored, one-of-a-kind experience. The structure consists of steel and concrete clad with a variety of appealing brick and fiber cement siding. High-end trim, soffits, and fascia adorn the exterior, complemented by a cedar shake roof that emulates the classic Kiawah Island style. To complete this first element of Choate’s multi-phase redevelopment plan for Kiawah Island Golf Resort in time for the 2021 PGA Tour, the project team operated on a fast-tracked schedule while continuing to work simultaneously on the various other projects around the Island. Intricate logistics and adherence to complex schedules delivered this project on time for guests to enjoy a front-row seat to the tournament.

An Inside Look

The interior construction of the clubhouse is designed to mimic the striking exterior through five-star finishes, including stained wood wall paneling, classic wainscot, and three-piece crown moulding enhancing each room.

 

Amenities Galore

Throughout the clubhouse, guests can enjoy a pro shop, bar, restaurant, full-service kitchen, and locker rooms before stepping onto the building-wide covered porch to enjoy a scenic overlook of the golf course. The extended porch allows club guests and golf pros to indulge in what Golf.com has referred to as a “coastal haven.”

Ample cart storage in the basement of the clubhouse accommodates the bustling resort’s supplies while remaining safe and out of view of the guests.
