AXA Equitable Life

Residing within the upscale 200-acre, 2 million-SF campus of Innovation Park, the site was extensively redeveloped into AXA’s flagship home. Adding more than 1,000 jobs, the expansion doubled their employee roster and boosted the local economy.

AXA Equitable’s expansion followed the WELL Building Standard for Commercial & Institutional Office Buildings for New and Existing Interiors and earned WELL Gold Certification, the first in the Southeast. The renovation is highlighted by spacious open-office work environments, showpiece monumental staircase, a multitude of conference/collaboration spaces and informal, relaxed breakout areas to promote creative thinking.

The interior environment remains at optimal conditions with the assistance of cutting-edge and highly controllable LED lighting fixtures and sophisticated HVAC systems capable of micro-zoned conditioning control – all monitored by a robust culmination of sensors and air quality monitoring instruments. Real-time data representing the current interior environment is displayed both in the main reception lobby, with local readout displays throughout the space.

Uncompromised efficiency is maintained through a Main Distribution Frame (MDF) – and supporting Intermediate Distribution Frames (IDFs), which have redundant service feeds and are supported with uninterrupted power supplies. Four multi-purpose rooms and nine conference rooms employing state-of-the-art video conferencing and tele-presence systems allow seamless collaboration with clients and other locations around the world. When fuel is running low, employees can recharge from a local gourmet coffee brewologist. The space also boasts an impressive collection of artwork, curated from local artists and highlighting regional geographic, cultural, and inspirational attributes.

The project team delivered the impressive renovation in just seven months, allowing AXA Equitable Life to pursue their quest for continued growth.
