With a goal of accommodating flexible work, this dramatic renovation features five floors of contemporary space offering the best for both work and play.
Visitors and employees are greeted by an impressive main lobby, including a custom-designed “entry experience” complete with featured product showcase and a monumental stairway that climbs all five stories and requires cutting into each floor’s concrete slab. The impressive stairway features glass and wood treads.
Modernization to an existing elevator and the installation of a machine room-less elevator provide additional ways to get around, including access to the rooftop deck.
An open-office floor plan dominates a majority of the interior space, accompanied by multiple state-of-the-art conference centers and huddle rooms. High-end finishes such as tile flooring, Filz felt acoustical ceiling panels, and wood ceilings are throughout the space. Working spaces are accented by neutral colors and aesthetics to encourage employee interaction and allow technology to be the focus. Strategically placed areas of tranquility contain interior planters and greenspaces.
Encouraging community and a sense of place, the Newell Brands Café is a place to gather for a cup of coffee or a full meal. A fireplace encased in glass and whitewashed brick brings warmth to the space while a custom Barz ceiling overhangs the main serving area, subtly displaying the Newell Brands logo incorporated within.
Hardscape improvements include the addition of a decorative concrete entrance, sidewalk, and an outdoor dining terrace. Mechanical systems are enhanced with additional terminal units and a split system for the MDF room.
