Interior Modifications Offer Delicious Brews in a High-Spirited Atmosphere

This ground-up brewery construction and interior upfit project features modernized garage doors leading to the outdoor patio that can be rolled up to join the indoor and outdoor spaces. The team transformed the interior shell space into a brewery and tasting room, with all of the accouterments a brewery could need – from fermenters, hot and cold liquor tanks, cold storage room, grain cracking room, and office space.

In addition to the overhead doors, the building receives a new storefront and revitalized entrances, and an updated sprinkler system. A vibrant mural on the exterior wall faces the patio space, so patrons can take in the spirited energy that reflects the city’s culture.

Conquering the Supply Chain

Capitalizing on open communication and strong relationships, the project team worked closely with the owner and trade partners to determine materials needed early in the process, thereby securing essential materials and avoiding unnecessary lead times. Despite a delayed start date, the team delivered the project more than two months ahead of schedule, allowing the owners to bring a dream that started in Asheville, NC to the port city earlier than expected.
