Students Leave Their Mark at Slab Signing

June 12, 2013

Future students, parents and stakeholders visited the construction site of the John Paul II Catholic High School in Jasper County, South Carolina on June 1 for a slab signing event. Armed with a floor plan of the school and Sharpies, they signed their names on the steel beams and wrote inspirational quotes and other words of wisdom on the concrete floors of classrooms and offices. Choate personnel were on hand to oversee the safety and fun of the event.

John Paul II is scheduled to open in the fall for seventh through ninth grade and will expand each year until they eventually house through 12th grade. The new high school will feature classrooms, laboratories, chapel, and athletic fields.
