Savannah Mixed-Use Development One West Victory Breaks Ground

June 10, 2013

The One West Victory project team recently broke ground on this exciting mixed-use complex coming to Savannah.

Consisting of Jamestown Properties, HKS, Inc. on the apartments, Tim Haahs on the parking deck, Gunn, Meyerhoff, Shay on the historic renovation of the Savannah Ice buildings, and OnSite Civil Group performing the civil engineering, this student-focused development officially kicked off on May 20th and is under way.

One West Victory will feature 114 student-focused apartment homes striving for LEED certification, accompanying four-level parking deck, and the renovation of two late 19th century historic buildings, formerly of the Savannah Ice Company.  These buildings will be transformed into a thriving restaurant with a rooftop space and a residential amenity building including a fitness center, leasing office, study hall, and student lounge.

Special guest Dr. Estella Shabazz, a member of Savannah’s City Council, served as a featured speaker for this historic occasion, addressing the positive impact this revitalization project will have on one of Savannah’s oldest neighborhoods.

The project is expected to complete by Summer 2014, while the restaurant is slated to open the following spring.
