Choate Construction Celebrates Sanderson Farms Topping Out

Choate Construction recently celebrated the topping out of Sanderson Farms Processing Plant in St. Pauls, NC. Construction paused briefly as jobsite personnel signed the final steel beam, which was hoisted into its final resting place atop the structure. The milestone was followed by a catered lunch inside the future poultry processing plant.

On schedule for a December 2016 completion, the 210,300-SF state-of-the-art plant also includes a service-truck building, automated fueling station, and two-story office building.

At full production, the plant will employ 1,100 people and is expected to processes 1.25 million chickens per week.
