Mark Thompson Selected to Join the Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce Leadership Savannah Program

Savannah, GA (July 31, 2015) – Mark Thompson, Director of Business Development for Choate Construction Company, has been selected to participate in the 2015-2016 Leadership Savannah Program. This year long program focuses on developing leadership skills to improve the community and consists of monthly interactive sessions lead by community experts within their fields.

Mark originally moved to Savannah in 1999 and made his way back home again in 2010 when he joined the Choate Savannah team. Quickly engrossing himself in the Savannah community, Mark has certainly taken advantage of all the area has to offer with memberships to the American Society of Civil Engineers, Savannah Chamber CEO, Downtown Business Association, Knights of Columbus, Propeller Club and the American Institute of Architects. “This is a great achievement and we are all extremely proud of Mark’s accomplishment.  Having a Choate Construction representative participate and being selected in such programs, continues to solidify our commitment to the community and broadens our networking opportunities,” said Savannah Division Manager, Ben Bunyard.

Leadership Savannah classes are limited to 42 individuals that must go through an application selection process. Classes are comprised of a cross-section of the community that represent leaders and potential leaders active in business, education, the arts, religion, government, community-based organizations, ethnic and minority groups and reflect the diversity of the community. The second oldest such organization in the country, graduates of Leadership Savannah have helped build one of the most effective leadership training programs in existence today.
