Genesys Office at Horseshoe at Hub RTP Earns LEED Platinum Certification

Choate’s Raleigh team marked a significant final milestone at Genesys at Horseshoe at Hub RTP project, achieving the highest level of recognition under the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED rating system.

The LEED Platinum certified project in Durham, NC encompassed a 21,700-SF fifth-floor office upfit designed around sustainability, flexibility, collaboration, and connection. It incorporates a mix of open and enclosed work areas, focus and team rooms, collaborative zones, conference spaces, a café and multiple lounges, along with access to Horseshoe’s fifth-floor outdoor terrace. A dedicated video production suite supports high-quality in-house filming and content creation. Designed by IA Interior Architects, the workplace accommodates a variety of working styles while connecting employees to the amenities and outdoor spaces taking shape throughout Hub RTP.

Sustainability at the Forefront

Sustainable design and construction are central to the project, which realizes more than 34% energy cost savings compared with an ASHRAE baseline and a 70.76% reduction in water use from baseline. Those efficiencies helped the office earn LEED Platinum certification and complement the broader environmental focus of Horseshoe and Hub RTP.

Building on a Familiar Foundation

The upfit also marks the next chapter in Choate’s work at Horseshoe. Having previously constructed the development’s core and shell, the Raleigh team brought firsthand knowledge of the building into the interior construction process, helping create an efficient transition from base building to finished workplace.

Genesys’ move carries added significance for the development as the company became Horseshoe’s first office tenant in early 2026. The office places employees within Hub RTP’s emerging mixed-use district, with access to restaurants, retail, gathering spaces, 16 acres of greenspace, and connections to more than 20 miles of trails throughout Research Triangle Park.

The completed workplace brings together Genesys’ sustainability goals and evolving ways of working while adding new momentum to the growing Hub RTP community.
