Dan Grove Selected for the Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Chamber of Commerce Leadership Program, Class of 2016

Bluffton, SC (June 29, 2015) – Following a rigorous application process, the Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Chamber of Commerce has selected Dan Grove, Project Engineer at Choate Construction Company, to join their Leadership Program as a member of the Class of 2016.

Dan joined the Choate team in April 2014 after graduating as a Buckeye from Ohio State University. Since relocating to the area, Dan has immersed himself in the Bluffton community and enthusiastically participated in networking and volunteer initiatives he comes across. Mark Thompson, Director of Business Development, has been thrilled to watch this evolution of growth and passion. “Since day one, Dan has repeatedly stood out as a leader and been an asset to the entire Choate team. We strongly encourage our entire office to get involved with any group or organizations that interest them, so it has been refreshing to see Dan really dive in and fully engross himself in all the Chamber has to offer.”

First started in 1985, this enlightening and educational program was designed to cultivate leadership resources within the community by giving participants the opportunity to study and experience the Hilton Head Island, Bluffton, Okatie and Daufuskie Island communities. The curriculum provides broad-based leadership perspectives to familiarize members with the area’s challenges, opportunities and resources. The Leadership Class runs from August to May and culminates with a class-initiated community project which challenges the group to explore current needs and issues firsthand.
