Compliments of the Atlanta Business Journal

Wild Heaven Craft Beers announced Oct. 4 plans to begin construction on an 8,000 square-foot brewery located in Avondale Estates.  Choate Construction will be the contractor.

The company announced in a press release that it had recently completed full funding for the construction, which was originally scheduled for 2012. The release also stated brewmaster Eric Johnson, founder of Athens’ popular Trappeze beer bar, will be transitioning from “Consulting” brewmaster to full-time Wild Heaven brewmaster.

Wild Heaven Craft Beers was founded byNick Purdy, publisher of Paste magazine with recipes developed by Johnson. The brand entered the metro Atlanta retail market in 2011 and currently brews four beers as year-round offerings.

The new brewery in Avondale Estates, 7 miles from downtown Atlanta, will be outfitted with a 30-barrel brewing system that was previously utilized by SweetWater Brewing and Terrapin Brewing and a tasting room featuring the Wild Heaven beers and seasonal offerings will be a feature.
