Choate Construction Promotes New Raleigh Division Manager

December 2, 2021

Choate Construction is pleased to announce the promotion of Seth Ellington to Division Manager of Choate’s Raleigh office. Seth has been with Choate for more than 20 years, during which time he has garnered extensive experience leading projects in a variety of market sectors such as life science and technology, higher education, senior living, automotive dealerships, and cinematic sound stages.

Promoting the legacy of client and trade partnerships that Choate established 32 years ago, Seth maintains his passion for providing the highest quality of service. He shared, “While the facilities we build dramatically change the landscape around us, the legacies I value the most are the client experiences and lasting relationships.”

“Bringing Seth onto the team 20+ years ago was a decision that continues to positively impact the Choate mission to this day,” said Founder Millard Choate. “His dedication to serving others with a deep desire to positively impact the Triangle through quality construction is seen and felt companywide.”

“Seth is a decisive and influential leader in the Triangle market, as well as Choate as a whole,” said Matt Brewer, President & CEO. “I’m looking forward to seeing his trusted vision continue to guide Choate Raleigh into the future through his new role as Division Manager.”

Seth earned his degree in civil engineering at Georgia Tech before joining Choate and progressing through multiple roles. Starting as an assistant project manager, Seth quickly refined skills that led him to his most recent former position as Director of Operations for Choate Raleigh.

Seth looks forward to continuing Choate’s commitment to the local community through Choate’s corporate philanthropy initiative and program, Building Up, and its support of The Ronald MacDonald House, Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina, and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Seth’s strategic and steadfast leadership style translates to his personal life. Just as Seth provides the Choate Raleigh office with the environment and tools for teamwork, he does the same as a husband, father, and beekeeper. Seth and his wife have three children, and their family vacations typically combine the tranquility of camping with the thrill of rollercoasters. As a new NC State University parent, he enjoys cheering on the Wolfpack.
