Choate Names Matt Brewer as President, Announces Two Leadership Appointments in Charleston Market

January 16, 2020

Choate Construction announced today it has appointed Matt Brewer as President.  Matt will add depth to Choate’s executive team, supporting Chief Executive Officer Dave Priester in executing the Company’s long-term strategy, culture, and tactical operations. Additional executive appointments name Tim Heichelbech as Division Manager and Tim McIntosh as Director of Operations, both in Charleston.

Previously serving as the Division Manager of Choate Charleston, Brewer has been with Choate since 2004 and brings over 20 years of construction expertise, personnel leadership, and short- and long-term business strategy to the table.

Brewer will assume the President role from Dave Priester, who will continue as CEO with a focus on transformational strategy and vision.  Brewer will remain based in Charleston.

“Matt is uniquely qualified to lead Choate into the future and I’m very excited about the unique experience and perspective that he brings to Choate’s executive team,” says Priester.  “I look forward to working with Matt to advance Choate’s mission, vision, and reputation.”

“This is an exciting time at Choate, where our relationship-based culture has allowed us to build strong bonds with our valued clients,” says Brewer. “I’ve been honored to lead our Charleston team and now look forward to working closely with Dave and our executive leadership team as we chart the course for Choate’s future.  Additionally, I’m proud to announce Tim Heichelbech’s promotion to Division Manager of the Charleston office.  Tim has been an exemplary leader and understands the value of building relationships as much as buildings. I am confident Tim will lead our Charleston office to new heights.”

As Division Manager, Heichelbech will be responsible for establishing and executing the overall business strategy for Choate’s Charleston office.

Also announced is the promotion of Tim McIntosh to Director of Operations in Charleston, where he will oversee all project-related operations for Choate’s Charleston office.
