Choate Gets Xtreme for Cystic Fibrosis

April 26, 2013

Choate’s most XTREME employees took on Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s XTREME Hike challenge this past weekend, hiking 30.1 miles all in the name of a cure for Cystic Fibrosis (CF).

Not only did employees from across all five Choate offices train for three months prior to the official hike, they also worked to raise a whopping $44,000 for CF, making Team Choate the #1 XTREME Hike team!

“We are taking on this extreme endeavor in order to be a part of something bigger than ourselves. Many children and adults with CF will not have the opportunity to take on a mountain or experience the wilderness without real progress toward a cure,” says Choate Assistant Project Manager and team leader Adam Hawthorne. “It provides us with great strength and courage to know that our actions are contributing to such a worthy cause.”

A big congratulations and thank you to Team Choate’s hikers!

We also thank our very generous contributors. With Team Choate’s help, XTREME Hike was able to raise a total of over $412,000!

Though the hike is over but if you feel inclined to donate, you still can! Just click here.
