Choate Construction Named General Contractor of the Year by Associated Builders and Contractors Carolinas Chapter

Raleigh, NC (August 25, 2016) — Choate Construction has been named the 2016 General Contractor of the Year by Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Carolinas Chapter, a chapter of the national trade association with nine local councils in North and South Carolinas. ABC represents 19,000 construction and industry-related firms nationally.

Presented during the Carolinas Summer Construction Conference, the award recognizes Choate for outstanding business practices and involvement in ABC Carolinas Chapter. Choate was honored in March 2016 with a National Excellence in Construction (EIC) Eagle Award from ABC in the Mega-Projects over $100 Million category for Marsico Hall at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In 2014, Clemson University’s SCE&G Energy Innovation Center took home the Project of the Year award from ABC Carolinas.

In addition to receiving the Contractor of the Year award, the highest honor given by ABC Carolinas, Choate’s Will Ralston was recognized for recruiting the most new members chapter-wide and received the Brokke Award for his achievement.
