Choate Completes Bob Jones University Dining Commons Renovation

Bob Jones University escalates its culinary offerings with major renovations to the dining hall and snack shop, now offering a plethora of options to satisfy any craving.

The dining hall renovation creatively creates multiple serving stations in the existing space, including deli, produce, breakfast, sweets, pizza and pasta stations. While cooking is done in the back of the house, two large serving stations complete with sinks and hot plates keep food warm and ready to eat. New tile, floor finishes, and paint complement the existing design while refreshing the look of the space.

The Snack Shop is a rework of the existing area into three new restaurant spaces. Papa John’s, Chic-fil-A, and Grillworks feature an upgraded HVAC package and the installation of four new Owner-provided kitchen hoods with a makeup air system. Quarry tile accents the floor while fresh paint and tile adorn the walls.

Careful coordination is needed between Choate, Bob Jones University, and the providers of the kitchen equipment to ensure proper delivery and installation. In addition, because students return to school in August, the project maintains a strict schedule with an unmovable completion date.
