National furniture retailer Room & Board, Inc. and The Keith Corporation team to bring a 251,000-SF distribution center to Newton, NC. As Room & Board expands their showrooms across the nation, the facility further supports Room & Board’s commitment to American-based operations. Constructed of tilt walls and structural steel, the state-of-the-art facility replaces the distribution center completed by Choate Construction in 2006. Textured paint, clerestory windows in the warehouse, and punched openings in the office area complement the exterior. The fully-racked distribution area is temperature regulated with HVLS fans and equipped with 29 dock positions and a drive-in ramp and door allowing Room & Board to efficiently deliver their products. A 3,000-SF office area is upfitted to include office space, a conference room, breakroom, restrooms, and a workout room.
