Choate Receives CAGC Awards for Community Service and Safety

Choate Construction Company is honored to announce it has been presented with the Community Impact Award and the Presidential Award for Safety Excellence by the Carolinas Associated General Contractors (CAGC). Received at the 2023 CAGC Summit and Expo, the Community Impact Award recognizes the commitment firms have demonstrated to serving their Carolina communities, and the Presidential Award for Safety Excellence celebrates firms with zero lost time accidents in 2022.

"It's an incredible honor to receive these two awards on behalf of our teams at Choate,” says Tim Heichelbech, Vice President and Division Manager for Choate Construction in Charleston. “Community service and safety are some of the most important things that drive our trade partners and employee-owners every day, and these awards celebrate their collective efforts."

Stewardship has been a core value of Choate since its foundation more than 30 years ago. Putting a face to the philanthropic spirit at the firm, Choate created its Building Up identity and program, which raised more than $1.26 million for charitable organizations in its inaugural year alone.
