The Woody Stewart Heart Failure Treatment Unit makes its home on the second floor of Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville. Funded solely by private donors, the unit is in memory of longtime chairman of The Medical Center Foundation Woody Stewart. The unit remodels 11,103 SF of current space and creates 16 patient rooms, a nurse’s station, employee break area, locker room, and a training center to educate patients living with heart failure.
The two-phase remodel includes fresh finishes throughout with updated mechanical, electrical, and plumbing for all patient areas. The medical gas system for patient rooms and pneumatic system for the new nurse’s station are modified.
