Specializing in the design and deployment of mobile and wireless solutions, Velocitor Solutions delivers their software to a broad range of market sectors through transportation, direct store delivery, field service, and field sales.
Built in 1972, a former electrical supply office and warehouse building is transformed into Velocitor’s corporate headquarters. Exterior storefronts and soffits are replaced with brilliant storefront windows. Velocitor’s exterior utilizes a custom molded fiberglass rain screen as an experiment in digitally fabricated facades. Existing light wells are reglazed allowing natural light to fill the space. With the life of the existing roof exhausted, a 45 mil thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) roof is installed ensuring the best return on investment for the owner. A monumental main entry is added to distinguish the front of the building.
Demolished to structural components, the interior is revitalized with corporate offices, open-concept conference areas, customer support desks, and a data center with a generator and uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system. Other amenities include a fitness center complete with showers and locker rooms, a full-service kitchen, and dining facility with indoor and outdoor seating.
