University of Georgia East Campus Village Dining Facility

Constructed to complement the East Campus Village Student Housing Phase I complex, also built by Choate, the East Campus Village Dining Hall offers spectacular views of East Campus and a plethora of culinary options. Designed to feel like a ski lodge, students are greeted by the massive exposed wooden trusses and grand staircase which provide a dramatic entrance to the two story building.

Focusing on made-to-order items, The Village Summit’s full service kitchen serves up pizza at Giorgio’s & Co., omelets at Egg Works, sandwiches at Upper East Side Deli and Blue Steel Grill. The facility also includes office space for the University’s Parking Services Department, dry food storage areas, and a “grab and go” type convenience store for students to purchase quick food and drinks called the Cyber Café.

The building is a two story structure, consisting of a structural steel frame with brick, precast, and storefront skin and both shingle and modified bitumen roofing systems.
