Shepherd Center

As the Shepherd Center continues to revolutionize the research and rehabilitation of spinal injuries, Choate is there to aid the growing campus in providing additional space and facilities for this catastrophic care hospital.

• The signature 105,500 SF nine-story tower and a 65,500 SF vertical four story expansion to the existing Marcus Pavilion enhances existing clinics and day programs as well as support areas, a cafeteria with seating for 176, the Calloway Auditorium, and the new energy plant.

• The Irene & George Woodruff Family Residence Center & Parking Deck is a 7 story family residence housing building and an 81/2 story precast parking deck is adjacent to the Shepherd Center, allowing loved ones to be near their family during rehabilitation.

• The build-out of the 2nd and 5th floors of the Tower involves the renovation and remodeling to create more private rooms for patients, a second brain injury unit, and reconfiguration and remodeling of various units in the Center.
