The Georgia Board of Regents (BOR) has signed a long-term lease agreement with Corvias to develop, maintain, and operate student housing on multiple campuses across the state over the next 65 years. The College of Coastal Georgia is one of seven campuses receiving student housing in phase one of this public-private-partnership.
Designed to complement the existing Lakeside Village student housing facility, the 57,331-SF student housing facility at College of Coastal Georgia has 218 beds in 84 suite and semi-suite style units. Interior finishes are typical of an institutional dormitory building utilizing a mix of carpet tile and ceramic tile flooring in the dorm units. To match the campus’s existing Spanish Mission architecture, the exterior of the building is a mix of stucco and cement panel siding with a red asphalt shingle roof.
Also included is a 100-car surface parking lot and upgrades to an existing sanitary sewer lift station to accommodate the building.
Choate has completed four projects with Corvias Group including Piedmont Central at Georgia State University, both Oak and Elm Hall at Augusta University, and The Commons at University of North Georgia.
