Constructed on top of an existing parking lot, this Design Assist project features 459 beds in 123 units. The three-story buildings contain apartment-style dorms with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room, and full kitchen. Each building has laundry facilities, computer labs, multi-purpose room, Resident Assistant apartment, and reception area to control entry to the building.
Keeping in mind the safety of the students, the corridors are enclosed for safer student entry and a reception area to control entry to the buildings.
Each building is wood frame with brick façade.
As Gordon College’s student population continues to grow, the need for additional housing generates Phase 2, a 402-bed apartment-style complex. 204 double occupancy suite-style units have three different layouts. Also included are laundry facilities, TV lounges, computer labs, indoor and outdoor seating, and a bistro with inside and outside patio seating.
The building is wood framed with an all brick veneer, aluminum windows and architectural asphalt shingles.
